Magoo (born Melvin Barcliff on July 12, 1973 in Norfolk, Virginia) is an American rapper who is best known as one-half of the pop rap duo Timbaland & Magoo with record producer Tim "Timbaland" Mosley. Like Timbaland, Magoo got his start in the music industry as a member of DeVante Swing's Swing Mob when mutual friend Missy Elliott got DeVante to sign the both of them when he signed Elliott's group Sista.

Biography

Timbaland & Magoo left Swing Mob after 1995 and began performing as a duo. Signing with Blackground Records, Timbaland & Magoo released a number of albums which were not as successful as the singles that anchored them.fact|date=July 2008 Their first LP "Welcome To Our World" sold over 1 million copies.fact|date=July 2008
