KVDA signed on September 10th, 1989 as a Telemundo affiliate from its 1989 to the present.

The station broadcasts in analog on UHF channel 60 and in digital on UHF channel 38.KVDA is a television station and runs programming from the Telemundo network and is a full-power television station that operates with 5000 kw of power.

Noticiero 60

"Noticiero 60" was the name of KVDA's newscast that began in 1989 and within one ratings period beat the competition KWEX's that had led the market at the time for almost 30 years.
