Pegasus Software is based in Kettering, England and develops accounting and financial management and payroll software applications for small and medium sized businesses. The company was founded in 1981 and was among the first software houses in the UK to launch its applications for the MS-DOS platform.

Today there are around 25,000 Pegasus software application licenses in use, its predominant market is the UK and Ireland and the company employs around 80 people. The products are sold through a network of 120 Partners. Pegasus operated as a subsidiary of a larger British software group, Systems Union Group plc. until August 2006, but now operates as a subsidiary business unit of the Atlanta based Infor Global Solutions.

In 2007, the company headquarters in Kettering were affected by major flooding in the town, with employees having to be rescued by boat. [Citation
