Forward Search is a Enterprise Search Solution suited to solve different needs, from Website Search, Corporate Secure Search, eCommerce Search or Custom Search Solutions.

Forward Search is based on Microsoft .NET technology, with Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services (SOAP).

Forward Search supports a variety of Microsoft .Net based Content Management System and Intranet solutions e.g. Composite, DynamicWeb, EPiServer, Microsoft SharePoint, Sitecore, Umbraco etc.

History

The first version of Forward Search was released in early 2006, by Danish based Forward IT.

Forward Search has gained a substantial customer base in Denmark and in the UK, clients include:

Product

Forward Search is Unicode-based and provides simultaneous search up to a terabyte unstructured information, without use of clustering, from multiple repositories at once.

Supports Event based indexing and Application or infrastructure security retainement, with enforced content, users and group’s access control.

Forward Search product family includes Crawler for Websites, Crawler for Files & SharePoint Content Connector.
