This is a listing of official releases by Snow Patrol, an alternative rock band from Northern Ireland, but formed and currently based in Scotland. Snow Patrol were originally formed in 1994 by Gary Lightbody (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Mark McClelland (bass guitar, keyboards), using the name Shrug and later, Polar Bear. Joing later were Johnny Quinn (drums) in 1997, Nathan Connolly (lead guitar), in 2002, and Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Tom Simpson (keyboards) in 2005, replacing the departed McClelland.

Snow Patrol has sold more than 7 million albums [ [http://www.businessofcinema.com/news.php?newsid=8054 Universal acquires Big Life Music] "Business of Cinema". Albums

This is a list of the LP albums by Snow Patrol that were released or are scheduled to be released. Each listing includes its release year, title, chart standings, RIAA certifications, BPI certifications, ARIA certifications and worldwide sales.

1 "Chasing Cars" was a digital-only release in Australia, and so was ineligible to chart upon being first released, despite spending several weeks at #1 on the ARIA Digital Track Chart in November/December 2006 and January 2007. In late 2007, when digital sales began to be counted towards songs' positions on the chart, "Chasing Cars" debuted at #80 and eventually peaked at #53. "Hands Open" and "You're All I Have" also both went to #21 on the ARIA Digital Track Chart in Australia, but by the time digital sales began to be counted, their sales were not strong enough to chart on the singles chart; however, "Open Your Eyes" did, and also peaked at #53.
