Central Colleges of the Philippines (CCP) is located in Quezon City, Metro Manila. The faculty is devoted to teaching and strives to challenge students to make the most of their talents. History

The college was formerly known as Polytechnic Colleges until 1969, when the chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Hermenegildo R. His position would later be taken over by his son Crispino P. cholarships

CCP offers a variety of scholarships. The main scholarship program is the H.R.Reyes Scholarship. The late Dr. Reyes was the former chairman of the Board of Trustees for many years. A scholarship program was established in his name to honor the former chairman. CCP provides scholarship grants to deserving students who qualify for the program. This scholarship program annually distributes 10 million pesos to qualifying students. The students who have a 85% or higher in the completion of a competitive exam will have met the criteria for the 10 top scholarships. Pre-Qualifications for Scholarship Eligibility

Academics

Undergraduate Studies

Architecture

Architecture was first offered as a major in 1953 as a part of the College of Engineering. In 1975 it was separated from College of Engineering into its own program. The program is open to a maximum of 500 students. It is housed in a new building that was completed in 1995. 16 faculty members teach in this program. Accountancy

The College of Accountancy was established to encompass five goals. Business Administration

The College of Business Administration prepares students to meet the challenges of working in the many facets of business and economy. Computer Studies

The College of Computer Science devotes to the primary objective of preparing the students for employment in a computer intensive field or graduate study. Education

Engineering

The College of Engineering goals for their students include developing both knowledge and technical skills, which will provide and in-depth understanding of the subject matter. Nursing

Since CCP’s opening 50 years ago, it has added a nursing program. Students can receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. CCP has a five story nursing building that includes air- conditioning, nursing skills laboratory, mini hospital, and public health settings. Office Administration

The College of Office Administration has two levels of study. The two-year course provides the student with general knowledge of business principles and computer fundamental techniques to gain an entry-level position in office management. The degree obtained is Associate in Office Administration. The four-year course provides the student with business principles geared toward an office management position. Graduate Studies

The Graduate school of CCP was established in 1979. The graduate school focuses on students of Business Administration, Public Management, and Teaching. The three graduate programs are MBA, MPA, and MAT. CCP wants the graduate students to be “effective managers, entrepreneurs, and productive members of the business community.” The graduate classrooms are air-conditioned. Graduate students have access to their own library with Internet access.

Doctorate of Optometry:

CCP offers one doctorate program, which is in Optometry. The student will be able to practice medical optometry. Future Expansion

CCP will offer HRM course in the school year 09-10. Campuses

CCP has two campuses the main campus and the extension campus.

The Main Campus houses the PR Hall, GV Hall, HR Hall, CyberPort, and AR Hall.

The PR Hall houses the College of Arts and Science, Education, Accountancy, and Business Administration. It also houses the admission office, guidance office, P.E. department, and the typing rooms.

The GV Hall houses the College of Engineering and Optometry.

The HR Hall houses the College of Computer Studies and Architecture. It also houses the DynEd laboratory room, CTC laboratory rooms, AutoCAD room, Chemical and Physics laboratory, Drawing Rooms, President's Office, Cashier's Office, Accounting Office, and Studio Theater.

The CyberPort houses the canteen (on the 1st floor) and the CyberPort which is a laboratory where the students can do their research and communicate with their friends for free.

Lastly the The AR Hall houses the school's library and the Registrar's Office

The Extension Campus or Consorcia Reyes Hall houses the High School Department and College of Nursing. It also houses the school's gym and ELC (English Learning Center). It also house the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and the College of Tourism in the future

Athletics

The men’s volleyball team won the 2005-2006 CUSA Volleyball Championship. They defeated St. Jude College 3-1 in a best of 3 finals. CCP Karate Club works under the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF). The Karate team has been associated with SKIF since 1994. In 1992 the Karate Club won their first IWABUCHI CUP. CCP Cheering Squad won the back to back (2007 and 2008) at the National Cheerleading Championship held at the Philsports Arena. CCP won with just 0.5 advantage against the University of the Philippines

Library

Undergraduates can check out two books, while graduate students may check out five.
