Take Me To The Next Phase

"Take Me To The Next Phase" is a funk hit by The Isley Brothers released in 1978 on the T-Neck/Epic label as the leading single from the brothers' "Showdown" album.

Written and produced by the group, the single was released in the middle years of the group's "3 + 3" (1973-1983) period and was recorded as if the song was at an Isley Brothers concert. It even included "fan participation" near the end of the song with chants of "take, take, take".

The single, when released, reached the top of the R&B singles chart, when released, becoming the group's sixth number-one single on that chart and partially helped in the "Showdown" album going platinum by the end of the year.
