Liberal Democratic Party (Malaysia)

The Liberal Democratic Party ( _ms. Parti Liberal Demokratik) is a Chinese political party originally founded in the town of Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia by Hiew Min Kong.

The party is one of the constituent members of the ruling National Front (Barisan Nasional).

The party lost the only parliamentary seat it was contesting under the Barisan Nasional ticket in the 2004 General Elections.

Currently, the president of the party is V. K. Liew. He took over after its former president, Chong Kah Kiat, Sabah's former Chief Minister, decided to retire as party president.
