Karl Alfred Thieme [The often publicized spelling of his first name with "C" is wrong according to his statement. Berger 1999, p. 357.] (28 May 1914 – 6 June 2004) was a German officer serving during World War II and recipient of the coveted Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
