International School of Paphos

International School of Paphos

The International School of Paphos, Cyprus, was founded in 1987 as a co-educational Day and Boarding School. With the changes in population dynamics, the services provided by the boarding department were suspended. The School is now a day school with new facilities on the outskirts of town, in Mesa Xorio, Anavargos.

The Ministry of Education and Culture has classified all the registered schools in recent years according to the curriculum they offer. The Secondary Department of the International School of Paphos has been classified as ‘similar’ to Greek schools. The School awards a School Leaving Certificate (Apolyterion). The school has strong links with the British Council as well as three of the most prestigious and well-known Examination Boards in England: Edexcel, CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) and AQA.

The school caters for the needs of children from Kindergarten to Year 13.

The Primary School covers under its umbrella the Kindergarten, the Infant classes (Reception, Year 1, Year 2) and the Junior School (Years 3 to 6). The Secondary School (Years 7 to 13) prepares pupils for external examinations up to ‘A’ Level in Year 13. [ [http://www.isop-ed.org/about.html The School ] ]
