Dream Team Australian rules football team

The Dream Team was an AFL representative team created to take part in the AFL Hall of Fame Tribute Match against a Victorian representative team.

Although not officially a State of Origin game, eligibility for the Dream Team was based upon State of Origin rules: players who played their junior football within Victoria were eligible for the Big V, and players who played their junior football outside Victoria were eligible for the Dream Team. The "Dream Team" concept was similar to the Allies, a composite State of Origin team representing players from anywhere except for South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.

The Dream Team wore a predominantly white guernsey, with beige cuffs and collars, and blue numbers and side panels. The names of 1246 community and grass-roots football clubs competing within the states and territories eligible for the Dream Team were also included in beige across the front.[1]

The Dream Team, captained by Andrew McLeod, were defeated 21.11 (137) to 18.12 (120) by Victoria.[2]
