Donelson Christian Academy was started in 1971. Its original location was in the Donelson Free Will Baptist Church across from McGavock High School. Classes were conducted there for three and one half years before moving to their present location at 300 Danyacrest Drive, Nashville, TN. The school consist of Pre-School through 12 grade. The K4-12 portion of the school has approximately 755 students. It is accredited by the State of Tennessee and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Donelson Christian Academy Life

Donelson Christian Academy has quite a few successful sport teams such as softball, tennis, and football. In the year 2011 their tennis qualified for state and sent a guys doubles team and a girl to state which both brought home medals. The [[softball team did extremely well too. Football has quite a few banners as well on that note. Also, DCA's spiritual life department has grown a lot in the last couple years. Paul Teller is the director of spiritual life and leads chapels every Monday for the elementary students and every Wednesday for the High School students. Also once every semester there is a spiritual emphasis week where there is chapel every day for a week.
