History

Armour transport was founded in 1930 by Gordon Armour in a small village near Moncton called Taylor. The company began as a hay hauling company with only one truck. The company grew slowly from 1930 to 1940, when its operations expanded to southern New Brunswick and some of Nova Scotia. In the 1950s business expanded to Maine, where Armour would deliver Christmas Trees. The 1960s proved to be a decade of change for Armour, Gordons son Wesley took command of the company. During this time Armour grew to 12 trucks and moved to its current location in Moncton. Since then the company has grown to become one of the leading trucking companies in Canada.
