Canadian Forces Supplementary Reserve

Canadian Forces Supplementary Reserve are inactive or retired members of the Canadian Forces whom are willing and available for active service when requested.

There are two components of the CFSR:

* Supplementary Reserve - are any current and former members of the CF whom are willing to report for service when requested and have skills required by the CF [ [http://www.airforce.forces.gc.ca/air_reserve/organization/cf_structure_e.asp#SUPPLEMENTARY%20RESERVE The Supplementary Reserve] ]

* Supplementary Holding Reserve - are former members of the CF whom are willing to report for service, but they have skills requested and required by the CF [ [http://www.airforce.forces.gc.ca/air_reserve/organization/cf_structure_e.asp#SUPPLEMENTARY%20RESERVE The Supplementary Reserve] ]

These members are ranked as either officers and non-commissioned members of the CF. They are not required to training prior to active service.

They supplement the CF's acitve Primary Reserve force.
