Myron Clare (born Ludwig John Rodriguez, Jr. August 8, 1986) is an American reggae and R&B singer-songwriter and record producer, with the previous alias Junior J of Junior J Productions. He made his recording debut in early 2006 under the guidance of independent recording artist, producer, and gay rights icon Ashley Breathe. His debut album titled "Face Unrecognized" produced a string of internet hits, including "Easy", "Let Me Go", and "Face Unrecognized". Although these back to back MixPosure.com favorites failed to gain significant airplay, they gradually became popularly requested mp3 downloads across the web. Clare is notably credited for producing tracks such as "Should Have Loved Me" and "Life's All About Money", as well as background vocals for Breathe's second studio album "Disco Bitch" in early 2006.

Life and music career

Childhood and youth

Clare was born in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York in Kings County Hospital. He is the third child of four of Jacqueline Rentas, an account major and former member of Puerto Rico-based gang "Nieta", and the only child of Ludwig Rodriguez, Sr. of Puerto Rican descent as well. Clare's parents separated when he was three years old. Clare was raised significantly by his father and his father's girlfriend, Maribel, whom he later married in May 2006, after a tumultuous, on-and-off relationship of sixteen years. After being struck by a car at the age of two, Clare remained in his father's care as his mother began her journey to recovery from drug addiction. Clare was allegedly abused physically by his father and stepmother growing up. After separating from Maribel in 1994, Clare's father and he moved to his grandmother's residence in Niceville, Florida. Clare suffered from taunts and physical abuse by neighborhood children, leading up to a violent incident occurring shortly before his eighth birthday. Clare had acted in an accumulative fit of rage by stoning one of the neighborhood bullies in the head, ultimately injuring the boy. Clare was beaten by his father following the incident.

Clare moved to Newport News, Virginia after the reconciliation of his father and Maribel. He continued his education in Virginia, and relied heavily on music to keep occupied. The abuse from Maribel worsened, rendering Clare an introverted recluse. Clare attended Woodside High School, but moved back to New York after a final incident of violence from his father. Clare graduated from Curtis High School in Staten Island, New York, and immediately began attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice of CUNY in the Fall of 2004. After one year, Clare transferred to the College of Staten Island, withdrawing after two months to take a break. Clare began focusing on his talents for music, and sprung into music production, gradually establishing himself a strong knowledge of the art of musical construction.

2005 — present: Being seen, heard, and appreciated

In Fall 2005, Clare befriended Edward Clark (soon to become Ashley Breathe), and instantly connected on a musical and aspirational level. Sharing and creating music together, Clare and Breathe began composing publicity stunts and engaging in heavy forum chatter in hopes of overpromoting Breathe's music. Taking trade of Breathe, Clare began producing demo tracks and uploading them to forums and exposure sites such as Mixposure.com and Den-Den.com. With mediocre results, Clare began to tweek his sound, and has since remained in an unclassifiable genre of music. Clare gained more notoriety, and continued to produced another string of hits, including "Should've Known Better", "Back in My Life", and a cover of "Careless Whisper" by UK pop band WHAM!.
