Bouck's Falls

Bouck's Falls is located in the town of Fulton, Schoharie County, New York. [ [http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyschoha/towns.html Towns of Schoharie County ] ] This waterfall is named after the family of former New York Governor William C. Bouck.

History

Bouck's Falls and the area around it was settled by the British Crown in the early seventeenth century. During this time, the area where the Falls is situated was considered part of Albany County.

Today

Today, Bouck's Falls is a popular resort area for the citizens of Schoharie County. It is particularly popular with students. Broken limbs and drownings have been known to occur at the falls.The 100-foot Falls is currently near the hamlet of West Fulton, New York.

There is a trail leading to the Falls, as well as other trails leading into the Catskill Mountains.Today, the Falls are owned by the Chris Becker family of Fulton.
