Hochschild Mining plc (lse|HOC) is a leading British-based silver and gold mining business operating in North, Central and South America. It is headquartered in London and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

History

The business was founded by Mauricio Hochschild in 1911 to exploit mineral resources in Latin America. It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2006. In 2008 it was invited to take an equity participation of up to 40% in the Lake Shore mine in Canada.
