Pasadena Area Rapid Transit System

The Pasadena Area Rapid Transit System, or Pasadena ARTS is a local bus system that exclusively serves Pasadena, California. It was formed in the late 1990s as a free service of the City of Pasadena. In 2003, fares were introduced.

Routes

*Route 10: Defenders Park-Allen Station. The line closely follows Colorado Boulevard, serving Downtown, the Playhouse District, South Lake, Marceline, and Jefferson Park.
*Route 20: This line follows a circuitous route through Pasadena's central districts, serving Downtown, Arroyo Del Mar, Madison Heights, South Lake, the Playhouse District, North Lake, a small part of Altadena, and North Fair Oaks.
*Routes 31 and 32: These lines connect Pasadena's northern neighborhoods, and much of its route is along Washington Boulevard. Neighborhoods served include North Fair Oaks, North Lake, East Washington Village, Victory Park, Lamanda Park, Daisy-Villa, California Village, Hastings Ranch, and Chapman.
*Route 40: This route connects Pasadena's central and eastern neighborhoods while avoiding major streets. Neighborhoods served include Downtown, Villa Parke, The Oaks, North Lake, Jefferson Park, Casa Grande, Victory Park, Daisy-Villa, California Village, Hastings Ranch, and Chapman.
*Route 51: This route connects Pasadena's central and northwestern neighborhoods and ends at Art Center College of Design in Linda Vista.
*Route 52: This route follows route 51, but continues north to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
*Route 60: This route connects Pasadena's eastern neighborhoods, including Marceline, Lamanda Park, Chapman, and Hastings Ranch.
*Route 70: This route serves most of Pasadena's southwestern neighborhoods, including Annandale, Downtown, and Bellefontaine.
