Alone among the provinces of Gabon, Moyen-Ogooué has neither seacoast nor a foreign border. It borders the following provinces:

  • Woleu-Ntem - north
  • Ogooué-Ivindo - east
  • Ogooué-Lolo - southeast, at a quadripoint
  • Ngounié - south
