Hamer Harold Budge (November 21 1910, Pocatello, Idaho – July 22, 2003, Scottsdale, Arizona) was a politician of the United States.

Biography

Burdge grew up in Boise, Idaho, USA and graduated from Stanford University in 1933 [ [http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=B001035 BUDGE, Hamer Harold - Biographical Information ] ] . He graduated from University of Idaho College of Law in 1936 and was in private practice. He was a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from 1939 through 1941 and in 1949. He was in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 through 1945.

After leaving the House of Representatives, he was a judge in the Third Judicial District of Idaho until 1964 when he was appointed to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by President Lyndon B. Johnson. He served as chairman of the SEC from 1969 until he resigned on January 2, 1971.

Budge then served as the president of a mutual funds group until he retired in 1978. He is buried in Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise, Idaho [ [http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=7709164 Hamer Harold Budge (1910 - 2003) - Find A Grave Memorial ] ] .
