"Chinese Walk" is a song by French singer Amanda Lear, released in 2011 by Little Boom Records.

Song information

On "Chinese Walk" Lear worked with French producers Steve Campioni and Alain Mendiburu. Music is credited to composer Marin du Halgouet, and lyrics were written by Amanda Lear in a collaboration with Marin du Halgouet. The song is arranged by Gael Brusseleers[1]. The track was recorded and mixed in Paris (Studio Entouka) and it was mastered by David Hadzis in Geneva (Studio Arthanor). It is an uptempo pop-dance track, lyrically relating to cultural aspects of China. The song comes as the first single from Amanda Lear's forthcoming album, I Don't Like Disco, to be released in Autumn 2011.

"Chinese Walk" met with considerable success, earning some positive reviews and entering a number of charts. Italian website Music Room. The track also charted in French DJ Buzz Chart[2] and Official Dance Chart in Germany.[3] Italian website Music Room published a positive review of "Chinese Walk", adding that it "should give Bob Sinclair a lesson".[4]

Music video

"Chinese Walk" music video was directed by Thibault Guerin. It sees Amanda's metamorphosis into a Chinese girl. The video premiered on April 18, 2011 on Amanda Lear's official YouTube channel.[5]
