Early life

Harmon was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. Under the nurturing embrace of religious parents, who were adamant about only allowing gospel music into the home, Chuck established his musical roots under the influence of leading local church artists. At age 4, he learned to play the drums, which served as the gateway instrument, leading to his growing infatuation with rhythm. His uncanny knack for learning to play new instruments quickly turned his infatuation into a full blown love affair, as Harmon played the trombone, tuba, piano, and sang in the choir.

Career

He has production, composition, songwriting and instrumentation credits on many high charting albums including Mary J. Blige's Grammy winning Growing Pains, Ne-Yo's Grammy nominated Year of the Gentleman, Chrisette Michelle's Epiphany, Rihanna's "Russian Roulette", the first single of her album, Rated R. Harmony produced Fantasia's singles "Bittersweet" and "I'm Doin' Me" from her album "Back To Me".[2]
