Minister of the Interior (Iceland)

The Minister of the Interior is the head of the Icelandic Ministry of the Interior. The position has existed since 1 January 2011, when the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Local Government were merged. The Ministry's headquarters are located at number 150 of Skuggasund street (64°08′56″N 21°55′47″W / 64.148889°N 21.929722°W / 64.148889; -21.929722Coordinates: 64°08′56″N 21°55′47″W / 64.148889°N 21.929722°W / 64.148889; -21.929722), and at number 150 of Hafnarhúsið Tryggvagata street (64°08′41″N 21°55′21″W / 64.144707°N 21.922488°W / 64.144707; -21.922488), both in Reykjavik.
