Nikita Kurbanov (born October 5, 1986 in Moscow, Soviet Union) is a Russian professional basketball player. He can play at both the small forward and power forward positions.

Pro career

Kurbanov made his professional debut with CSKA Moscow during the 2004-05 season. He then moved to Lokomotiv Rostov, before returning to CSKA Moscow. He joined UNICS Kazan in 2008, and he spent the 2008-09 season with Spartak St. Petersburg. He then moved back to CSKA Moscow once again.

Russian national team

As a member of the junior Russian national basketball teams, Kurbanov led the 2004 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship in scoring and he was named to the competition's All-Tournament First Team. He also won the gold medal with Russia's junior national team at the 2005 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. He was also named the tournament's MVP.

He has also played with the senior Russian national basketball team at the EuroBasket 2009.
