"Why Don't We Fall in Love" is an R&B song written and produced by Rich Harrison for American singer-songwriter Amerie's debut album, "All I Have" (2002). Released as the album's lead single in October 2002 in the United Kingdom and July 2003 in the United States, the song contains a sample from Dave Grusin's 1975 song "I've Got You Where I Want You". It reached number twenty-three on the "Billboard" Hot 100, and became a top ten hit on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It performed moderately elsewhere, peaking at number forty in the UK and number seventy-three in Australia. The single's music video was directed by Benny Boom and released in June 2002.
