According to the village's website, this study was "designed to provide factual information that will ultimately provide village residents with a complete understanding of what this dissolution will mean to the village taxpayers."

The following were key areas of concern the Dissolution Committee would be reporting on:

* Will the dissolution of the village impact residents' short-term and long-term tax burden?

* Will the town assume responsibility for current services provided and at what cost?

* Will services be improved by dissolution?

* Will law enforcement be impacted by dissolution?

* Will the Town of Macedon provide water & sewer services?

* Will the Town of Macedon plow village streets and sidewalks?

* Will the Town of Macedon continue to provide brush & leaf pick-up as standard service to village residence?

* Who will provide code enforcement?

* Will the Town of Macedon operate and manage the Fire Department?

* Will the Town of Macedon combine the two Ambulance Services or dissolve the Village Ambulance Service?

* Will the Town of Macedon operate and manage the parks and cemetery?

* Will the Town of Macedon hire the existing village employees?

* What will happen to Village owned property? [ [http://www.villageofmacedon.org/dissolution.html Village of Macedon New York Website, Village Dissoultion Study page, accessed December 30, 2007] ]
