Ryan Shore (born December 29, 1974 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian film composer and saxophonist. Mr. Shore was educated at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and attended Spanish River Community High School in Boca Raton, Florida. He is the nephew of Howard Shore. Biography

Ryan Shore has a background of classical, jazz and contemporary music. His recent scores include "Prime" starring Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman; "Harvard Man" starring Adrian Grenier and Sarah Michelle Gellar; "Scout's Honor" starring Bill Murray and Alec Baldwin; "Vulgar" directed by Bryan Johnson; "Lift" starring Kerry Washington; "Headspace" starring Sean Young and Dee Wallace-Stone; and "Kettle of Fish" starring Matthew Modine and Gina Gershon. He also composed original on-camera music for "Fur" starring Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr., for which he was seen in the film performing his original music. Shore's releases in 2007 and 2008 include "Numb" starring Matthew Perry and Mary Steenburgen; "Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer", starring Robert Englund, which he recorded and conducted with the 91-piece Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra; "The Girl Next Door" based on the best selling novel by Jack Ketchum; "Shadows", written and directed by Milcho Manchevski; and "Made for Each Other" starring Bijou Phillips, Danny Masterson and Patrick Warburton. For his score to "Cadaverous", he received the first-ever Elmer Bernstein Scoring Award, which was personally judged and presented by Academy Award winning composer Elmer Bernstein. Ryan's work in film also includes producing the music for the "Saturday Night Live" theatrical logo, orchestrating for "Analyze This" and "Dogma" and source music arranging for "The Game".
