California's 47th congressional district covers the cities of Garden Grove and Santa Ana and parts of Fullerton and Anaheim, in Orange County. Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, a Democrat, is the current representative of the 47th District and has served since 1996. Rep. Sanchez is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition of conservative Democrats.
