Adelino André Vieira Freitas (born January 24, 1986 in Guimarães), more commonly known as Vieirinha (little Vieira), is a Portuguese footballer, who currently plays as a winger on loan at PAOK of the Greek Super League.

Club career

Youth

Formed in the youth schools of Vitória de Guimarães, Vieirinha caught the interest of Porto and joined their youth team, eventually being promoted to the first team in the 2006/2007 season.

Senior squad

Vierinha played his first official game for Porto on 11 August 2007 in the Portuguese SuperCup against Vitória F.C., when he was subbed on at the 70th minute. He scored the goal in the 89th minute that would seal a 3-0 result for Porto, and also win him his first club title.

International career

Vieirinha has played for every youth level of the Portuguese national team from Under-17 to Under-21. He is perhaps most well known for his performances in the 2003 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship, where he won Player of the Tournament, finishing ahead of Cesc Fàbregas.

Leixões S.C.

Vieirinha had a great season with newly premoted Leixões S.C.. After a great season with Leixões S.C. which showed his ability and where he proved his talent. He was loaned out from FC Porto to the Portuguese club Leixões on a year loan until he returned back to Porto.

PAOK FC

PAOK Thessaloniki of Greece was interested in this player because of Portuguese coach Fernando Santos was aware of his potential. The Greek giants PAOK FC was looking for a skilfull winger and decided that Vieirinha was the right man for the job. PAOK signed a loan deal for him from FC Porto which had seen him get a spot on the Portuguese national team. After a few games with PAOK he was injured in a derby match against Aris FC which his team won 1-0. But he had to rest for a few weeks until he was injury was completely healed.
