Code 950 GS1 Head Office is used for several special applications and bi-lateral agreements. As an example prefix 9509999 has been allocated by GS1 to the United Nations International Drug Control Programme UNDCP in 1995.

Recent additions (Albania, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire) mean that every country in Europe is now on the GS1 system, although the smallest nations such as Luxembourg and Liechtenstein share with their immediate neighbours, while Kosovo and Montenegro have yet to be assigned separate codes since independence, and therefore share 860 with Serbia. Countries not listed above are not currently on the GS1 system. Codes currently reserved for future use are:
