South Carolina gubernatorial election, 2010

The 2010 South Carolina gubernatorial election will take place on November 2, 2010. Republican Governor Mark Sanford is term limited and unable to seek re-election. Primary elections will take place in June and a runoff election, if necessary, will be held two weeks later.

*Inez Tenenbaum, former state Superintendent of Education from 1999 to 2007, also candidate for 2004 Senate seat.
*Darla Moore, wealthy businesswoman from Lake City.
*Mark R. McCauley, wealthy male Nurse from Spartanburg, South Carolina.


=Republicans=

*André Bauer, two-term Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina.
*Bobby Harrell, Speaker of the state House.
*Henry McMaster, two-term Attorney General of South Carolina.
*Gresham Barrett, congressman from the 3rd district.
*David Wilkins, United States Ambassador to Canada.
*Jim Ritchie, state senator from Spartanburg.
