The Ormonde Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in Great Britain open to thoroughbreds aged four years or older. It is run at Chester over a distance of 1 mile, 5 furlongs and 89 yards (2,697 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in May.

The event is named after Ormonde, a successful racehorse foaled at Eaton Hall, Cheshire, in 1883. The original Ormonde Stakes was contested by two-year-olds over 5 furlongs. The present version, initially a race for horses aged three or older, was established in 1936.

During the period 1955 to 1957, the Ormonde Stakes was restricted to three-year-olds and run over 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 10 yards.

The race is now confined to older horses, and it sometimes serves as a trial for the Coronation Cup. The last horse to win both events in the same year was St Nicholas Abbey in 2011.
