"Too Young to Die" is a single by the British band Jamiroquai, the second from their first album "Emergency on Planet Earth".

It received a heavy radio edit, cutting the original 10:18 track to a six minute album version, and then cutting the album version down to the 3:22 running time by cutting out the second verse and chorus; the commercial singles also had an extended (more commonly regarded to as the "original") ten-minute version. The song's lyrics, as its title suggests, are about the fear of war and death due to political machinations.

    Cover Art

The single's cover art depicts the lead singer, Jason Kay, in the background, looking into the camera, with a sky-blue "grill" of Buffalomen in the left, as hollow spots, which are slowly morphing into solid blue crosses, headstones, the polar opposites to the meaning of the buffalo man (The Buffalo man being Jay's personal symbol of peace and life). This morphing happens as one moves his eyes from left to right over the cover of the single. There's also a banner (rug) near the bottom which has several images on it, a picture of a baby with a caption beside it reading "Too young to die", an image of the mushroom cloud and a Swastika, the final one having a red "X" over it.

    Music video

A music video was shot for "Too Young to Die". It was directed by W.I.Z. and consisted mainly of Jay Kay singing in what appears to be a desert military installation.
