Northampton College

Northampton College, formerly known as Northampton College of Further Education, is a further education college in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College in August 2004, and is one of the largest further education colleges in the South Midlands, with around 13,000 full-time and part time students.

Northampton College serves the community and businesses in Northampton, Daventry and nearby towns and villages in the south and west of the county. Its three centres at Booth Lane, Lower Mounts and Daventry enable it to offer a range of full-time and part-time courses across a number of levels, academic subjects and vocational areas. It also offers local employers a range of training services through its Business Centre which was launched in January 2006.

The college is part of the two Learning Partnerships in Northamptonshire and Daventry and works closely with other education providers including Moulton College, the University of Northampton, Tresham Institute, Daventry William Parker and Danetre School. Partnerships have also been established with the Council for Ethnic Minority Communities, the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce and other bodies to provide targeted initiatives for local needs.

A new building is due to open in 2011.
