Damir Mršić (Serbian Cyrillic: Дамир Мршић, Turkish: Kaan Demir; born October 25, 1970 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia) is a former basketball player of Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team and current Turkish champion Fenerbahçe Ülker's manager.[1] He also has Turkish citizenship under the name Demir Kaan since 2003.[2] He is one of Fenerbahçe's legendary players.

Pro career

Damir Mršić started to play basketball at Sloboda Dita Tuzla youths. He became professional in 1989 and played three years for Sloboda Dita Tuzla. In 1992 he transferred to KK Split where he won Croatian Cup in 1993 and 1994. In 1995, he transferred to Turkish club Netaş where he spent 2 years. After that he spent 4 years at Tuborg İzmir where he made a big impression in Turkish Basketball League. Turkish giants Fenerbahçe Istanbul signed him for 1 year in 2001. After Fenerbahçe experience, he moved Russia to play for UNICS Kazan where he won Russian Cup. Next year he played for MBC Dynamo Moscow. In 2004, he moved back to Turkey to Fenerbahçe Istanbul, which was going to merge with Ülker and become Fenerbahçe Ülker. He spent 6 years at there and retired.

Mršić mostly known for his supreme 3-point shooting ability. He won 3 points competition at Yugoslavia in 1992, and also at Russia in 2003. He scored nine 3 points shot against Beşiktaş Cola Turka at European League quarter final game in 2005.
