Newcastle, Monmouthshire is a village in Monmouthshire, south east Wales, United Kingdom.

Location

Newcastle is located six miles north west of Monmouth and nine miles east of Abergavenny.

History and amenities

Newcastle has an early Norman motte and bailey castle site, hence the name, and it is situated close to the present day England Wales border in the southern Welsh Marches.

Hilston Park is located nearby [1].

The village today is quiet and rural and in rolling countryside typical of this part of Monmouthshire.
