Cardiff Academy of Aviation is a flying school located at Cardiff Airport which is popular with aviation enthusiasts and people receiving gift packages.

Location

The flight school is located to the South of Cardiff Airport. It is next to Dragonfly, a private charter company which operates 2 King Air aircraft. Also, Gate Gourmet is located nearby which supplies food for the passenger flights at the airport. It is located near to the old Air Wales maintenance hanger.

Fleet

The fleet consists of the following aircraft:

* Piper Cherokee 140
* Piper Seneca II
* Piper Arrow
* 2x Robin R2120
* Robin R200
* Cessna 172

Company

The company offers thirty minute trial lessons, full hour lessons and packages, along with PPL training following CAA guidelines.

Facilities

There is an upstairs seating area with a bar that has views across the airport and a beer garden which is closed in the winter. There are two classrooms, a flight resources room and a reception area with shopping facilities.
