José Antonio Rodriguez Pagán (born May 5, 1935 in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico) is a former Major League Baseball player.

Baseball career

He made his major league debut with the San Francisco Giants on August 8, by|1959. Pagán played for the Giants until 1965 and then was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates. In by|1973, he played his final career games with the Philadelphia Phillies. Pagán played for a total of 15 years before retiring.

During game seven of the by|1971 World Series, in the top of the 8th inning, Pagán hit a double which scored Willie Stargell. This proved to be the game winning run.

After his playing career ended, José Pagán was a Pittsburgh Pirates coach from by|1974 to by|1978.
