SR 915 SR 922

State Road 916, locally known as Northwest 138th Street, West 84th Street, Northwest 135th Street, Opa-Locka Boulevard, Northeast 135th Street, and Natural Bridge Road is an east–west highway crossing northern Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its western terminus is at an interchange with Interstate 75 (SR 93), the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826), and the Gratigny Parkway (SR 924) on the boundary between Hialeah and Miami Lakes. Motorists traveling eastward along SR 916 drive alongside Opa-locka Airport and through the cities of Opa-locka (on a one-way pair) and North Miami before reaching Biscayne Boulevard (U.S. Route 1/SR 5).

As with SR 976 to the southwest, there is an ambiguity as to the location of the eastern terminus of SR 916. Florida Department of Transportation maps and literature indicate that SR 916 terminates at its intersection with Biscayne Boulevard (giving SR 916 a length of 9.7 miles); however, signs erected by FDOT near the intersection indicate otherwise. People on Biscayne Boulevard (traveling in either direction) see trailblazer signs for SR 916 EAST and WEST; people going eastward on Northeast 135th Street see an SR 916 reassurance sign less than a half block from Biscayne Boulevard, indicating that the State Road extends to some point on the street that ends in a cul-de-sac a mile to the east.

In addition to being an access to Opa-locka Airport, the divided highway passes through a mixture of suburban residential neighborhoods and by an industrial park.

The significance of SR 916 to Miami-Dade County has diminished since the opening of the Gratigny Parkway in 1992, but it remains a major trans-county throughway.
