Dantan II (community development block) (Bengali: দাঁতন II সমষ্টি উন্নয়ন ব্লক) is an administrative division in the Kharagpur subdivision of Paschim Medinipur district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Dantan and Belda police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is at Khakurdah.[1][2]

Demographics

As per 2001 census, Dantan II block had a total population of 134,347, out of which 68,738 were males and 65,609 were females. Dantan II block registered a population growth of 17.01 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade. Decadal growth for the combined Midnapore district was 14.87 per cent.[2]Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.45 per cent.[4]
